Playa del Carmen Carnival 2026 unveils star-studded concert lineup

Music, culture and beachfront celebration come together as Playa del Carmen prepares for one of its most vibrant events of the year.

The Playa del Carmen Carnival 2026 is set to light up the Riviera Maya with four nights of live music, colorful festivities and a diverse lineup of nationally recognized artists. Taking place in the heart of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, this annual celebration blends local tradition with major open-air concerts, attracting both residents and international visitors.

From February 14 to February 17, 2026, the city’s iconic Plaza 28 de Julio will host nightly performances that showcase urban music, hip hop, alternative pop and a nostalgic finale featuring some of the biggest names of 1990s Latin pop.

Urban and contemporary sounds kick off the celebration

The musical program begins on February 14 with Bellakath, one of Mexico’s most talked-about urban artists. Known for her viral hits and energetic performances, Bellakath is expected to draw a young and enthusiastic crowd, setting the tone for the festivities.

On February 15, the stage will welcome Santa Fe Klan, a leading figure in Mexican rap and hip hop. His socially driven lyrics and strong fan base make his performance one of the most anticipated nights of the Playa del Carmen Carnival 2026.

The following evening, February 16, features NSQK, an artist recognized for his innovative blend of alternative pop and urban influences. His appearance reflects the carnival’s effort to connect with emerging musical trends and new audiences.

A nostalgic finale with 90’s Pop Tour: El Antro

The carnival will close on February 17 with the highly anticipated 90’s Pop Tour: El Antro, a retro-themed concert that brings together iconic pop acts from the 1990s. The lineup includes JNS, Kabah, Magneto, Mercurio, Caló, The Sacados, SBS, Ari Borovoy, Erik Rubín, Erika Zaba, Kalimba and M’Balia, along with special sets by DJs Le Twins.

This final night promises a high-energy, nostalgia-filled experience, celebrating the music that defined a generation and offering a festive close to the carnival.

A cultural highlight in the Riviera Maya

All concerts will take place at Plaza 28 de Julio, a central and easily accessible location in downtown Playa del Carmen. Organized by the Playa del Carmen Government and the H. Ayuntamiento de Playa del Carmen, the event reinforces the city’s reputation as a destination that combines culture, entertainment and tourism.

With free-entry concerts, a family-friendly atmosphere and a beachfront setting just steps away, the Playa del Carmen Carnival 2026 stands out as one of the must-attend events of the season in the Mexican Caribbean.

For travelers seeking music, local culture and an authentic community celebration, Playa del Carmen offers not just sun and beaches, but a carnival experience that brings the city together through sound, color and shared tradition.
