The Cancún Carnival 2026 has officially confirmed the artists leading this year’s celebration, set for February 12–17. The lineup had already been anticipated by Cancún Activo weeks earlier, based on public signals and direct posts shared by the performers themselves on social media—an approach that continues to position digital platforms as early indicators of major events in Cancún.
Mayor Ana Paty Peralta made the formal announcement, noting that the 2026 edition aims to surpass the impact of last year’s carnival, which attracted tens of thousands of attendees and reinforced Cancún’s role as one of the Caribbean’s most important cultural and entertainment destinations.
Headlining artists for Cancún Carnival 2026
The music program will be led by Banda MS, La Adictiva, El Bronco, and María José—the same names previously identified by Cancún Activo through close tracking of the artists’ public schedules and digital activity.
The Cancún Carnival 2026 will unfold across three key locations. Festivities begin with the traditional Burning of Bad Mood ceremony at Parque de las Palapas, which will also host parades, dance groups, cultural performances and local food over several days.
At night, Malecón Tajamar becomes the main concert stage, designed to bring together thousands of attendees in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere:

- February 15: El Bronco
- February 16: María José
The celebration concludes on February 17 with a free concert by Banda MS at Estadio Beto Ávila, a night expected to rank among the most memorable moments of Cancún Carnival 2026.
Safety and a family-friendly atmosphere
Municipal authorities confirmed that safety measures from previous editions will remain in place, including restrictions on alcohol sales and coordinated security operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for both locals and visitors.
