Ricardo Arjona and Grupo Firme are joining forces for “Amor Factura,” a new song that grew out of an unexpected musical encounter between Arjona and Eduin Caz. The official music video has already been filmed and will premiere on October 1, 2026.
Ricardo Arjona had already completed a major part of his next musical project when Grupo Firme entered the picture.
The Guatemalan singer-songwriter revealed that he had 30 songs produced across Nashville, London, Stockholm, Mexico, Colombia and Guatemala. But one unexpected moment involving Eduin Caz changed the direction of the project and led to what will become the first single of this new chapter.
It started with Eduin Caz singing “Hongos”
Arjona said he came across a video of Eduin Caz, the lead singer of Grupo Firme, performing “Hongos,” one of his songs.
Rather than simply watching the performance, Arjona said the interpretation immediately sparked something creatively.
“I heard him, went out onto a balcony and started writing,” Arjona recalled when describing how the idea for the new song began.
That moment eventually led him to the conclusion that the song should be recorded with Grupo Firme.

The collaboration also took on a more personal dimension when Arjona met the Mexican group and established his first contact with Eduin Caz. According to the singer-songwriter, their interaction confirmed the feeling he had already had about the band.
From the 30 songs already prepared for his upcoming project, Arjona chose “Amor Factura” as the first single.
Eduin Caz brought his family to the meeting
For Eduin Caz, the collaboration carries a very personal meaning.
During his meeting with Arjona, the Grupo Firme singer shared an emotional confession:
“You have no idea what a dream you’re making come true for me this afternoon. I brought my wife… I think my three children were conceived to Arjona’s music.”
The comment revealed just how closely Arjona’s music has been connected to Eduin’s personal life and family.
What began with a video of Eduin singing one of Arjona’s songs ultimately became a studio collaboration between two artists with very different musical backgrounds.

The meeting also included a special gift.
Ricardo Arjona presented Grupo Firme with a custom-made guitar created by a Guatemalan artist. The instrument was also personally signed and dedicated by Arjona.

“Amor Factura” brings together Arjona’s songwriting with Grupo Firme’s regional Mexican sound.
