CANCÚN, Mexico — Cancún FC has a new face on and off the field. The club has introduced Tolo, a mascot inspired by the Tolok, a distinctive lizard found across the Yucatán Peninsula, giving the team a character that blends local heritage with the energy of modern Cancún.
Tolo was created with a rebellious, charismatic and energetic personality, reflecting the character of a young city shaped by the Caribbean, its natural surroundings and a growing sports culture.

Who is Tolo?
The new mascot takes its inspiration from the Tolok, a reptile associated with the Yucatán Peninsula. Its ability to move through different environments and adapt to its surroundings became part of the concept behind Tolo.
The character combines those references with a contemporary urban identity designed for a soccer club based in Cancún.
Its appearance features large eyes, a friendly expression and a modern color palette of black, gray and turquoise, reflecting Cancún FC’s visual identity.

Why does Tolo wear number 70?
One of the most significant details in Tolo’s design is the number 70 on its jersey.
The number pays tribute to Cancún’s origins. The city was established on April 20, 1970, meaning Cancún marks its 56th anniversary in 2026.
For Cancún FC, the number creates a direct connection between the club, its home city and the history behind one of Mexico’s best-known Caribbean destinations.
